Check Twice

Know who’s really contacting you

Verify anyone who calls or messages you is who they say they are.

A contact’s page in Check Twice: Emily, verified as Emily Miller with her face photo and passport, its chip checked

Stop impersonation scams

Ask them to confirm with a quick photo
We check their face against their profile and tell you if it’s them.
Check Twice’s quick photo: a face in the oval, its ring of ticks lit green on both sides.
Verify each phone has the same words
If both match you’re speaking to them with no one in the middle.
Emily’s own phone: “Successfully verified. Tell Mom these words so they know it’s you”, comet and chinchilla.
Get warned if it’s someone else instead
We warn you if they say it wasn’t them or don’t answer in time.
Emily’s page in Check Twice after she said no: “Emily said they didn’t contact you. Whoever’s contacting you may not be them.”

Check new numbers and strangers

Check it’s them after a “lost phone” text
Send a link to the new number and a quick photo on that phone is verified against their profile.
Check Twice’s sheet for an opened link: Buying a car. Verified as Jack Liu, with his face photo and passport, its chip checked. Not in your contacts. Notes: Confirming I’m the one buying your car.
Check strangers before you trust them
Ask for their Check Twice link and see they’re verified with their ID before you buy, sell or meet them.
