To show the people you contact that it’s really you, we must be told of each call as it starts and each text as it’s sent. Connect your phone system once on your organisation’s Phone systems page and it tells us itself.
Only outbound calls and texts count, once your organisation is live, and only from lines on your Lines page. A call from a line you haven’t added sends nothing, and your admins are told once a day.
Aircall
Give your API id and API token, from Aircall’s dashboard, Integrations, API keys. We add a webhook named Check Twice to your Aircall account for new calls: leave it in place. Calls only.
Dialpad
Give your company API key, from Dialpad’s admin settings, Integrations, API keys. We add a webhook to your Dialpad account and subscribe it to your calls and outbound texts.
RingCentral
Sign in to RingCentral and you come straight back. We subscribe to your account’s calls and renew the subscription ourselves. If it ever shows Needs reconnecting, connect it again. Calls only.
Removing a phone system removes what we added to your account.
Webhook
Twilio, SignalWire and Telnyx connect with a webhook. You’re shown its address once:
https://api.check-twice.com/v1/business/systems/0f6c1d2e-…/events/…The address holds its secret, so keep it as you would a password. To change it, remove the webhook and connect a new one.
It answers 200 to anything posted to it, even what doesn’t count, so your system never retries, and 404 if the address is wrong. The same call or text posted twice counts once.
Twilio and SignalWire
Point your calls’ and messages’ status callbacks at the address. A call counts when it’s outbound and initiated or ringing, a text when it’s queued, sending or sent.
Telnyx
Send your call.initiated and message.sent events to the address. Outgoing calls and outbound texts count.
Anything else
A system of your own uses the Calls and texts API. Microsoft Teams Phone and Google Voice can’t connect.
