Your details are used to verify you and we never upload your contacts.

## We only keep what we need

### Only your contacts can see your verified profile

Others can’t see it unless you share a link. You can opt in to showing it to anyone with your phone number.

### We never upload your contacts

Your contacts’ names never leave your phone, and their phone numbers stay private.

### We never sell your data

Not to advertisers or anyone else, not even anonymised. We never use any of it for advertising either.

### Your photo is stored securely

It’s encrypted and used to check it’s you later. Anyone who can see you’re verified sees it unless you hide it.

### We never keep a photo of your ID

We check it matches your face photo. Once it’s processed we delete it.

### Delete your data at any time

We delete your face photo and your account when you ask.

## Common privacy questions

### Do you share my data with anyone?

Only with the companies that help us run Check Twice, as our privacy policy sets out, or where the law requires or allows it.

### Can Check Twice see my messages or calls?

No. Check Twice can’t see your messages or calls and never uses your microphone or location.

### Who can see my full name and photo?

Only people in your contacts who have you in theirs and anyone who opens a link you share, unless you turn on Anyone with my phone number. You can hide your face photo from everyone, from people you choose or on a link, hide your verification or block someone.

### Will someone know if I look at their profile?

No. They’ll only know if you send them a check or open a link they made.

### How do I delete my data?

In the app, go to Account, tap your name and choose Delete account, or delete it on our website at check-twice.com/delete. We delete your face photo and your account. If you don’t use Check Twice for 24 months, we delete your face photo.

### Will I know if someone signs in to my account?

Yes. Signing in needs a quick photo of you and you’ll get an alert whenever your account is signed in on a new phone. You can log out any phone from Account.

### Is it private if I report someone?

Yes. We look into every report and don’t tell the person it was you.

### Where is my data stored?

In the United States, so Check Twice runs quickly, and it’s looked after from the UK by FusedFrames, which makes Check Twice. Emails you send us are kept in Switzerland.

### Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes. Email legal@fusedframes.com and we’ll send you a copy.
